The actual physical strain and recovery come from the sauna session and the rest phase afterwards. Scent complements this process on another level: our sense of smell is closely connected to brain regions involved in emotion and memory. RICCAVA therefore uses scent deliberately as part of a ritual, to make the transition from performance to recovery tangible. After all, how recovered we feel is an important part of recovery.

RICCAVA does not see scent as a mere addition to the infusion. Reset, Rise and Recover form a coordinated system of three scent lines that accompanies the entire sauna session: from arriving, through the intense phase, to consciously winding down.

Depending on sauna size and desired scent intensity, use 5 to 30 drops. First put water in the ladle, then add the drops and pour over the stones. Ideally, cool the spot you will pour on with plain water first, then do the infusion on the same spot. Alternatively, add 5 to 10 ml to 1 liter of water, mix well and then pour. The stated maximum dosage should not be exceeded. Never pour undiluted onto the hot stones.

For classic saunas with infusion stones, diluted in the infusion water. They are not intended for infrared cabins. Check beforehand whether you have an allergy to any of the ingredients, and ventilate the cabin well between infusions.

The sauna itself is well studied scientifically, in particular regarding its acute effects on circulation and the autonomic nervous system. Scent can also influence emotions, memories and subjective experience. RICCAVA therefore does not promise any medical effect of individual scents. Our essences are intended to accompany the sauna and recovery ritual sensorially.

When used as intended, the essences are used diluted in the infusion water and are safe. The stated dosage should not be exceeded, the concentrate should never be put undiluted on hot stones or on the skin, and the sauna should be sufficiently ventilated between sessions. Before use, check whether you have an allergy to any of the ingredients. If you find a scent unpleasant or feel unwell, you should leave the cabin.

Cool, dark and out of reach of children. Do not store in the sauna, and close tightly after use. Shelf life after opening: at least 2 years.
